Greenhouse Gas Intensity
We aim to reduce our greenhouse gas intensity, defined as direct (Scope 1) and indirect (Scope 2) GHG emissions per million baht of service revenue, by 10% within the year 2020, compared to the level in 2015, which was 4.22 tCO2e/1 MB of service revenue.
Electricity Consumption Intensity
Electricity consumption is a major source of our environmental impacts. We aim to reduce our electricity consumption per service revenue by 10% by the year 2020, compared to the level in 2015, which was 6.83 MWh/1 MB of service revenue.
Paper Use
To reduce paper consumption, we offer electronic billing and online service channel (True iService), which has saved more than 16 million sheets of paper, equivalent to 170 tCO2e of avoided emissions since 2016.
We want to use innovation and technology to help conserve the environment. That is why We Grow application was launched to encourage everyone to plant more trees for our planet. As of 2015, 4.3 million trees have been planted, which are capable of reducing carbon emissions by 53,000 tons.
Although True's business operations does not rely heavily on water resources, we recognize the importance of water conservation. We aim to reduce water use intensity by 10% from 2015 to 2020.
True Group is committed to reducing waste generation and responsible waste management. By the year 2018, the amount of waste was 2,223 tons, which was 23% lower than 2015.
Although there is no established scientific proof of adverse health effects from EMFs associated with mobile base stations or mobile phone usage, True follows a proactive approach in the installation and operation of mobile base stations.

The standards for electromagnetic wave emissions are controlled to a rate of less than 0.1%, a level considered safe according to the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) and other national organizations.
TRUE e-Bill
True customers can opt to get their invoices electronically via e-mail or SMS. In 2018, True e-Bill reduced paper consumption by more than 1.7 million sheets, equivalent to greenhouse gas emissions reduction of 8.33 tons CO2e.
True has installed solar PV systems at selected base stations and network facilities. As of 2018, the amount of electricity generated from solar energy at these facilities amount to more than 41.6 MWh per year. True's innovators have developed the country's first solar-powered mobile phone signal booster station, designed for emergency situations. Instead of generators, the system depends on solar panels for power, which reduces fossil fuel consumption and air pollution.
